I am just now ironing Felicity's dresses, and trying them on her. I just wanted to say how much I love her traveling gown! I thought I wouldn't like it, but I really do. I love the fact that it is taffeta, and I love the color on her. The necklace is so cute, and so is the mob cap. The fabric on the cap is quite thin, but that does give it a dressier look.

Molly just stopped in for lunch. She hates the school food. Anyway....I have Lissie on the dining room table in her traveling gown.
Molly said, " Mom! that dress is awful! It looks so cheap! Did you make it?
I thought that was pretty funny.
I love it...

Mm-m-m-Hm-m-m, said just like a teenage daughter!
Edited to add that the last of my children leaves her teens the end of this month, and for the first time in 22 years I will have no teenage children. I don't know whether to laugh or cry!

Jeanette, You should definitely be laughing! I'm living with two very moody teens right now. You probably have lovely "adult" children to have real(and nicer) conversations with.

I too fell in love with FElicity's travel dress... I never had much interest in it, but when I saw it displayed at AGP, I thought it no less than completely adorable. The purple color looks nice on the blonde haired dolls especially, IMO. Will also agree about the thinness of fabric (you can see the doll's underwear through the dress!), but it has a shimmer to it that is quite pretty. Very nice dress overall!

I completely agree! I [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] the traveling gown; in fact, I just put it on my Felicity yesterday. I know a lot of people don't like the thin fabric of the cap or the dress, but I think it works for this outfit. As you said, it just makes it seem dressier!
